Daily Delight Devotional – Monday, February 12, 2024

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this, everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.

– John 13:34-35

As recipients of God’s unconditional love, we are called to mirror His love in our interactions with others. Unconditional love challenges us to break free from the shackles of stereotypes and unwarranted evaluation. It enables us to see others through the lens of God’s grace, compassion, and understanding, regardless of their flaws or differences.

It starts by first understanding who we are and accepting our worth and dignity through Christ’s sacrifice. It is only then we can look at every other individual through that same lens. Unconditional love allows us to listen without judgment, extend grace just as we have received without condition, and embrace human diversity with humility and respect.

This is the mind of Christ.

Insight: Unconditional love challenges us to mirror God’s love for us to everyone we encounter.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, teach me to love others unconditionally as You have loved me.
