And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.
– 1Chronicles 12:32, KJV
Men of Issachar, who understood the times and knew what Israel should do. We may not know much about these sons of Issachar but what we know is a wonderful testimony. They were wise and understood the times in which they lived and were able to know what Israel needed to do.
There are many people who know the problems however, there are relatively few who know what needs to be done. Everyone complains about the removal of subsidies on fuel, the harsh economy, security challenges and other things that negatively affect our lives, but very few come up with suggestions and alternatives that proffer solutions in the midst of the overbearing circumstances. This is because they have an understanding of the times. Even in the midst of a boring list of names and relationships, there are extraordinary treasures to be discovered with amazing results.
The Bible says God changes times and seasons. If you are walking in God’s covenant, you will understand the times and seasons of your situations and know the steps to take that will result in your breakthrough. The Psalmist says, give me understanding and I shall live. Until you understand your situation, you won’t know the step to take to the next level.
Insight: The only way that you can be sure that you understand the times is to do worthwhile things in the Lord’s sight that will give you leverage.
Prayer: Father, engrace me with supernatural wisdom to live every moment as a solution provider in the name of Jesus.
