Unveiling the Mystery of Light

In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

– John 1:4

The life that Jesus gives brings light into the life of man. Without Jesus, man remains in utter darkness. Jesus is the light of the glory of God and the light of men. Those who have the light of Christ are the light of the world. Let the light of God shine through you to the world through your works. The word of the Lord cannot be broken, and where the word of God is, light will show up.

The more you establish the word of God in and around you, the more illuminated you become, the brighter you shine, and the farther darkness disappears. You are to shine as light, and there is no amount of darkness that can overcome your light. Jesus, our Master, is the bright and morning star, and so are we. “And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.” – John 1:5. Scripturally, you are called to resist the devil and darkness because the devil walks in darkness.

Salvation is not a destination but the light journey into the manifestation of the power of God. “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” – John 8:12. If you truly have encountered the light, something undeniable or noticeable far beyond what you can explain must happen to your life. God wants to make you peculiar and enviable. “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.” – 1 Peter 2:9.

You are born to shine on earth. May this light of God showcase you to become a lighthouse to the darkness of the earth in the name of Jesus.
