Daily Delight Devotional – Saturday, December 6, 2025

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up.

– James 5:14-15

God has given the church tools to help us enforce His health plan. These include the name of Jesus, the anointing oil, Holy Communion, and the prayer of faith. These tools are not empty acts. They carry God’s power when used with faith.

When you feel weak, do not hide. Ask for prayer. Join with other believers. Let them pray over you. Take Communion with a clear heart and with faith in what Jesus did on the cross.

Also, guard your daily life. Rest well, eat wisely, and let go of anger and bitterness. These choices work together with prayer and faith to keep you strong.

Insight: God’s spiritual tools and wise daily habits help you stay healthy.

Prayer: Lord, teach me to use every spiritual tool You have given for my health.
