Daily Delight Devotional – Monday September 11, 2023

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

– John 16:13, KJV

God uses the Holy Spirit to transform the believer. When we are born again, we allow Jesus Christ into our lives as our Lord and Saviour. We also receive a measure of the Holy Spirit. When you become filled with the Holy Spirit, you have both Christ and the fullness of the Holy Spirit dwelling within you. The Holy Spirit has access to your mind, emotion, will and your body. In other words, He can impact your spirit, soul and body.

Because of this intimate relationship, the Holy Spirit can and does communicate with you. He can transmit thoughts into your mind because He has access to your mind. He can also supernaturally quicken what you hear or read. If you cooperate in this process, you continually discard old sinful ways and seek more of Christ.

Insight: The Holy Spirit can also read, understand and use your emotions and your will to impart to you what the Lord wants to be imparted.

Prayer: Father, baptize me afresh with Your Spirit to do your work in Jesus’ name.
