However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

– John 16:13, NKJV

Every Christian needs the Holy Spirit. He completes us. Without the Holy Spirit, you cannot become a part of God’s family. He is the seal of who you are. He is the revealer of God’s word to you in every passing situation. One of the most profound ways we grow in our relationship with God is through His Word. The Bible is not just stuff that was curated together. It is the living and powerful Word. It is designed to reveal God’s heart and will for us. However, we need help understanding its depth and meaning. And that’s where the Holy Spirit comes in.

A lot of people stumble as a result of what is written in the Bible. Some even claim that there are a lot of contradictions in scripture. The truth is that without the assistance of the Holy Spirit, the Bible can seem difficult to comprehend or apply. You might even only see it as a book of stories and myths. The Holy Spirit as the revealer of God’s word makes the Word of God clear and relatable. He helps us see beyond the surface to understand what God is speaking to us personally. Each time we open the Bible with an open heart, the Holy Spirit illuminates its truth, making it relevant to our current circumstances and needs. He brings the understanding that the true power of scripture is not just in knowing it but in living it.

Insight: When you partner with the Holy Spirit, He opens the door to a deeper understanding of God’s Word and how it can change our lives.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, reveal Your truth to me as I study Your Word.

Daily Bible Reading: I Chronicles 1-4
