“Whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
Matthew 7:24 —
Sometimes things fall because the foundation beneath them was weak.
Jesus spoke about two builders: both built houses, and both experienced storms. One house remained standing while the other fell. The difference was not the storm. The difference was the foundation.
A new beginning is not an invitation to repeat your old life with fresh excitement. It is an opportunity to build differently.
If poor financial discipline caused problems before, develop better financial habits. If poor communication damaged relationships, learn healthier communication. If inconsistency weakened your spiritual life, develop a regular life of prayer and God’s Word.
Strong foundations include biblical truth, prayer, integrity, wisdom, accountability, discipline, healthy relationships, emotional maturity, and faithful stewardship.
Do not rebuild the same structure on the same weak foundation. Otherwise, the same problems may return.
God wants to establish your life on Christ so that when future storms come, you will still be standing.
Insight: A stronger future requires a better foundation.
Prayer: Father, help me build every area of my life on Christ. Remove every weak foundation and establish me in Your truth, wisdom, integrity, and discipline.
