“Whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant.”
Matthew 20:26 —
God has given each of us something that can make a difference in the lives of others.
It may be a skill, a gift, an opportunity, a testimony, or the ability to help someone through a difficult situation.
In John 6, a young boy had five loaves of bread and two fish. What he had appeared small compared to the needs of the crowd.
But when it was placed in Jesus’ hands, it became part of a miracle that fed thousands.
Do not underestimate what God has placed in your hands.
Your knowledge may help someone make a wise decision. Your experience may encourage someone who is struggling. Your skills may provide solutions to problems around you.
You do not need to have everything before you begin serving.
Offer God what you have. Develop your abilities. Work with excellence and look for opportunities to help others.
True greatness is not measured only by how many people know you, but by how many people are helped through your life.
Your gifts become more meaningful when they are used to serve others.
Insight: God gives us gifts and abilities so that we can serve others and bring glory to Him.
Prayer: Father, help me recognize and develop the gifts You have given me. Teach me to serve with humility and excellence. Use my abilities, experiences, and opportunities to bless others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
