“And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes.”
John 11:44 —
Jesus did not raise Lazarus so that he could remain in the tomb.
When Jesus called, Lazarus came forth.
This teaches us an important lesson about responding to God’s call. There comes a time when we must stop remaining in the same place and begin to move forward.
You may have spent a long time waiting, preparing, or recovering from difficult experiences. But those experiences do not have to become your permanent condition.
Perhaps God has been placing something in your heart to do. You know the next step, but fear, uncertainty, or past disappointment has kept you from acting.
Do not remain where God is calling you to leave.
Take the step before you. Begin the assignment. Make the necessary change. Return to what God has instructed you to do.
You cannot change everything that happened yesterday, but you can choose how you respond today.
Your current condition is not your final destination. Come forth and move forward!
Insight: You cannot experience meaningful progress while refusing to take the steps God has placed before you.
Prayer: Father, give me courage to come out of every place of fear, delay, and stagnation. Help me release the past and take the steps required to fulfil Your purpose. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
