The seed is the word of God.

– Luke 8:11

Faith cannot exist apart from the Word. Wherever there is a lack of faith, there is usually a lack of the Word. God’s Word is the seed that gives birth to faith, and every area of our family life that needs results must be targeted with relevant seed – the Word. No Word, no faith. No faith, no fruit. Faith does not begin with feelings; it begins when the Word of God becomes real to us.

Mothers and fathers must make the Word a foundation in the home. Share it, teach it, live it. If your children only hear motivational talk and not God’s truth, you are raising them on empty fuel.

Insight: Faith flourishes where the Word is planted and nurtured.

Prayer: Father, give me wisdom to teach and model Your Word so faith will grow in my home.
