“Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise.”
Joshua 1:2 —
There is a time to grieve, a time to process what happened, and a time to heal. But there is also a time to arise.
Joshua had served Moses for many years. Now that chapter had ended. God did not ask Joshua to pretend that Moses had never existed. He simply told him that he could not remain where the previous chapter ended.
Sometimes we remain stuck because we are waiting for yesterday to change. We wish a relationship had ended differently. We wish an opportunity had not been lost. We wish we had made a different decision. But what has ended may not return in the same form.
Grace gives you strength to rise from disappointment, defeat, discouragement, fear, insecurity, and regret. It helps you acknowledge what happened without allowing it to control where you are going.
You cannot enter the next chapter while refusing to leave the final page of the previous one.
Today, receive strength to arise. God still has more ahead of you.
Insight: Grace gives you strength to rise from where the previous chapter ended.
Prayer: Father, give me grace to arise from every disappointment and discouragement. Help me release what has ended and move forward with You.
