“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
Psalm 51:10 —
A new beginning requires more than excitement. We must prepare ourselves for what God wants to do.
Sometimes this means closing the door to what God has already ended. At other times, it means cleaning our hearts from bitterness, fear, pride, or disappointment.
God also calls us to rekindle our spiritual fire.
If your prayer life has become weak, begin praying again. If you have neglected God’s Word, return to it. If a gift inside you has become inactive, stir it up again.
Most importantly, depend on the Holy Spirit. Your new beginning will not be sustained by human strength alone.
Then obey the next instruction God gives you.
You may not know the entire journey, but God will give you enough light for the next step.
Prepare your heart. Renew your spiritual life. Listen carefully. Then move in obedience.
God is not only opening a new season. He is preparing you to live successfully within it.
Insight: New beginnings require a prepared heart and an obedient spirit.
Prayer: Father, create in me a clean heart. Rekindle my spiritual fire, fill me with Your Spirit, and help me obey every instruction You give me.
