“Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.”
Joshua 1:3 —
God had already promised the children of Israel a land of their own, but they still had to step forward and possess it.
The promise was given, but their participation was required.
This teaches us that God’s promises do not remove our responsibility to act.
You may have received a word from God concerning your future, family, ministry, career, or business. But you must also be willing to take the necessary steps toward fulfilling that assignment.
Do not allow your dreams to remain only in your thoughts.
Prepare yourself. Develop the required skills. Build godly relationships. Make wise decisions and take advantage of the opportunities God places before you.
As October comes to an end, take time to reflect on your progress.
What assignment have you been postponing? What opportunity have you ignored? What practical step can you take before the year ends?
Remember, God did not bring you out of limitation simply to make you comfortable. He brought you out so that your life could make an impact.
Arise, take responsibility, and possess the assignment God has entrusted to you.
Insight: God’s promises call for faith, preparation, responsibility, and obedience.
Prayer: Father, give me grace to possess every assignment You have entrusted to me. Help me overcome fear, laziness, and procrastination. Give me wisdom to recognize opportunities and courage to act on Your instructions. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
